I had a whole article written up, trying to express what Remembrance Day means to me. It was essentially a failure, words failing to even begin to convey. So I deleted it, and instead I will just write out the words of Laurence Binyon.
They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning
We will remember them.
